Derby County Women drew 2-2 away to Halifax in the FA WNL Northern Premier Division after converting a 95th-minute spot-kick.

The two sides began the only league match just above the relegation places and it was Derby who go the early goal, Olivia Edwards collecting a Halifax clearance to fire into the bottom corner.

The hosts hit back twice in the last quarter of the match to turn the score in their favour.

Phoebe Hollin struck a free-kick into the net and Maddie Norton cam off the bench to race though on goal and chip the onrushing goalkeeper.

But Rams’ late substitute Georgia Stevens would also have an impact, netting a last-gasp penalty.

The result moved Derby six points above the bottom two ad lifted Halifax above Hull City on goal-difference and also level on points with West Brom in seventh.
