Having secured two promotions in two years, FC Copenhagen Women are set to make their debut in Denmark’s A-League, in new home and away kits created in collaboration with adidas.
When FC Copenhagen (København) launched its women’s team in 2024, the ambition was clear: Build a team that can compete at the top level for many years to come and develop women’s and girls’ football in Denmark, creating new role models and ensuring that more girls can see themselves reflected in the game.
Just two seasons later, the team have already secured promotion from the third tier to the A-League, marking another significant milestone in the club’s long-term journey.
Romaney Pinnock, Head Coach, said: “We’ve achieved so much in a short time, and everyone around this team knows we’re only getting started. Promotion to the A-League is a huge milestone and the start of an exciting new chapter. We’re ready to challenge ourselves at the next level. Working with adidas to launch special kits for the women’s team reflects the ambition that’s driving this team.”
In just two years, the team has broken the attendance record for Danish women’s football, attracted several high-profile players and established pioneering partnerships that have helped drive the women’s game forward in Denmark.
FC Copenhagen player, Josephine Lech, said: “Representing Copenhagen is something we take great pride in, and the support from the people of this city means so much to us. Every match is an opportunity to strengthen the connection between the team and our supporters. This season feels like an exciting new chapter for F.C. Copenhagen Women, and the new kit reflects the ambition and identity we’re building together. We hope to welcome even more supporters to the stadium this year, because with the city behind us, we have the chance to create something truly special and build a fan culture that will inspire the team for years to come.”
The promotion and the launch of the new home and away kits coincide with Hall of Femme, the initiative launched earlier this year by F.C. Copenhagen and main partner Andel to celebrate girls’ football and inspire more girls to stay in the game beyond their teenage years – a period when many leave the sport.
The team will be playing their first game in the jersey at Vanløse Stadium on 28 July against HB Køge.
