Chelsea lead the Barclays Women’s Super League by six points with three games to go after a 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
Chelsea scored twice in the space of two first-half minutes, as Guro Reiten converted a penalty despite goalkeeper Shae Yanez getting a hand to the spot kick, followed by Catarina Macario finding the bottom corner from Sandy Baltimore’s pass.
Two minutes into the second half, Palace had Allyson Swaby sent off for fouling Sjoeke Nusken as she got through on goal and Macario’s free kick took a big deflection to make it 3-0.
From a Lucy Bronze header, Mia Fishel glanced the ball past Yanez at the near post.
Four points from their last three games will be enough for Chelsea to retain the title, while Palace must win their last three to have a hope of staying up.
