Charlton Women Secure Signing of Amalie Thestrup

Charlton Women have signed Danish forward Amalie Thestrup following the expiration of her contract with Bristol City.

A Denmark international, she has club experience across Europe with the likes of Brøndby, Roma and PSV Eindhoven, while previous spells in England were at Liverpool as well as a loan spell with West Ham.

Thestrup told charltonafc.com: “I’m really happy to be here and I’m excited to get going and hopefully achieve something special this season.

“I’m hoping to bring a bit of experience. I’ve been fortunate to have played in many different countries and leagues which has given me a lot of experience and understanding of different styles footballing philosophies that I hope I can bring to the side.

Meanwhile, the Addicks’ Jodie Hutton has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
