Charlton Women complete the loan signing of forward Lorena Azzaro from Première Ligue club Paris FC.
Azzaro joins Charlton on a season-long loan, and has had spells with Toulouse, Lyon, Fleury 91, Lille and Strasbourg, before the move to Paris FC.
She has represented France at the youth level, playing for the team that won the 2019 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship.
Azzaro told cafc.co.uk: “I can’t wait to meet the staff, my new teammates, and the fans, and to experience the club’s atmosphere—and, of course, the city of London. I’m really looking forward to this adventure getting started.”
“I’m a competitive person, and I love a challenge. Charlton represents exactly that for me. It’s a club with a rich history and an ambitious project.
“Playing in the Barclays Women’s Super League—which I consider one of the best leagues in the world—is a huge source of motivation. I really can’t wait for the season to start.”
