Celtic edged Rangers 1-0 in the Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park despite a dismissal before the hour mark.

Mia Macaulay hit the post for Rangers, but Celtic took the lead before the half-hour mark, as Saoirse Noonan’s ball into the box was slipped in at the far post by Morgan Cross.

Emma Lawton was sent off following a second yellow card for a challenge on Calliste Brookshireb.

But Rangers had not made the most of their opportunities, and Celtic goalkeeper Adelaide Gay continued to keep a clean sheet.
