Caroline Weir Scores Stunning 90th Minute Winner for Scotland Women

Scotland Women seemed set for a draw in the friendly at Casablanca after Morocco’s equaliser, until Caroline Weir scored with a stunning long-range strike.

Scotland went ahead late in the first half against Morocco, a corner from Erin Cuthbert flying straight in. Morocco levelled going into the last 10 minutes, Jenna Clark heading off the line but with the ball not cleared by Nicola Docherty, Élodie Nakkach fired home. However, Caroline Weir scored a stunning 90th-minute winner with a brilliant 35-yard strike.

Poland played out a goalless draw with the Netherlands, Alayah Pilgrim gave Switzerland an early goal as Canada were edged 1-0.

Italy drew 1-1 with Japan, Giada Greggi’s opener cancelled out by Yui Hasegawa after a through ball by Hinata Miyazawa.
