
Cardiff City Women inflicted a first defeat of the Genero Adran Premier season on Swansea City in the south Wales derby.

Cardiff opened up a three-point lead over the Swans at the top, against whom they scored three times in the first half. Mackenzie Olden scored just two minutes in, Laura Curnock converted a penalty and Mikayla Cook added a third.
Wrexham hit Pontypridd for six to stay within goal-difference of the leaders. Faye Marshall conceded an early own-goal for Ponty, then Josie Smith put through her own net for the home side, who were to take control with doubles from Abbie Iddenden and Mariam Mahmood plus one for Katie Barker.
Briton Ferry beat The New Saints to go level on points with them, although Ashley Griffiths’s opener had been cancelled out by Caitlin Chapman. Maia Owen restored the advantage and Grace Evans came off the bench to get a third for the hosts.
Barry banked their first points of the campaign away at Aberystwyth. An Ellie Preece brace had them two up but Ellie Gunney conceded an own-goal and Sian Evans equalised before substitute Keira Harris grabbed the winner in the last 10 minutes.

Flint Town United 1-1 Llandudno (Att: 85)
Ashleigh Jones and Tesni Hughes had Bangor two up before Dottie Evans replied for Berriew. Seren MacDonald, Ffion Thomas substitute Ella Jones all added one apiece to ensure a home win.
Sophie Cook bagged a swift brace around the hour mark to set up Llanfair for victory. Shannon Jones replied for Felinheli, Harriet Davies quickly hit back, Jenna Allsup scored to keep the hosts in it but they had manager Arron Jones-Evans sent off for a second caution.
Rosie Hughes put Flint Town ahead just before the hour mark, Hannah Owen earning Llandudno a draw with the leveller on 71 minutes.

Cardiff Met 2-1 Cascade
Carmarthen Town 2-1 Cwmbran Celtic
Llanelli Town 0-2 Pure Swansea
Taffs Well 1-3 Penybont
Cardiff Met finished with ten players but saw off Cascade 2-1. Scarlett Davies put them in front from a penalty in first-half added time, Molly Chapman then doubled the lead. Esme Kilburn-Thompson was shown a red card just seven minutes after coming off the bench, Ellis Lunn pulled a goal back to make for a tense finnish.
Carmarthen overturned a deficit by the break to beat Cwmbran. Summer Evans responded to Kaitlin Smith’s opener and Flavia Jenkins got the decider just before half time.
Penybont fell behind at Taffs Well to a goal from Rianne Jones but went away with three goals and three points, as Erin Bater, Cerys Jones and Freya Grandin all found the home net.
Pure Swansea took the points at Llanelli, where Caitlin Meadows scored twice in the last quarter of the match.
Llanelli again host Pure Swansea on Wednesday (1 October), this time in an Adran Trophy group game.
