Cardiff City Women Come from Behind to Win at Swansea

Cardiff City Women came from behind to win 3-1 at Swansea City and stay top of the Genero Adran Premier on goal difference, while Llanelli shocked the South leaders and Berriew secured their first ever second-tier victory.

Aimee Deacon’s opener for Swansea was cancelled out by Helen Evans, before Mikayla Cook scored with a free kick and Lily Billingham sealed the victory.

Wrexham are five goals short of the leaders despite a 6-1 result at Pontypridd. United had pulled it back to 2-1 through Madison Lloyd, but a quick Katie Barker brace sealed the points.

The New Saints edged Briton Ferry 3-2 to move three points ahead of them in fourth place. Llansawel twice took the lead twice through Jade Crofts and Freya Peyton, but TNS replied with efforts from Lexie Harrison, Caitlin Chapman and Lia Lewis.

Barry are level on points with Aberystwyth following a 2-1 victory over them. Aber scored first through Libby Isaac, but Keira Harris and Jasmine Turner hit back for United.

Connah’s Quay made it three straight wins with a thumping 8-0 victory over Felinheli, Ella Jones starring with four goals.

Flint scored four against Bangor, while Berriew secured their first-ever win in the second tier, defeating Llandudno 3-0 with help from a Dottie Evans brace.

Cardiff Met’s perfect run came to an abrupt end with a home defeat to Llanelli, marking their first win of the season. Bry Demery responded to Megan Gladwyn’s opener, and substitute Abigael Pritchard scored the decider.

Carmarthen’s 4-2 victory at Penybont brought them level on points with the leaders. Sisters Ophelia Jenkins and Flavia Jenkins each scored twice.

Pure Swansea are also just a goal difference away from the top spot after a 2-1 win at Cascade. Isabel O’Sullivan and Annabel Stokes scored before half-time, with Ellis Lunn pulling one back.

Cwmbran secured the points with a 2-0 win at Taffs Well, Macey Morris and substitute Laure Boyd with the goals.
