The referee had pointed to the spot after Yana Daniëls was tripped in the area by Taylor Reynolds.
The lead was preserved through the latter stages, as Emma Siddall made a crucial clearance and goalkeeper Kirstie Levell denied Fran Orthodoxu an equaliser.
Also on Wednesday 22 October, Bristol Rovers bowed out of the League Plate with a 3-1 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion Academy.
Patience Fergus grabbed a quick first-half brace for Albion, Meg Jarvis halved the deficit but Libby Hester added a late third for the visitors.
The first round of the Plate will conclude on Sunday 26 October, when Chorley take on Aston Villa Academy at Euxton Villa FC.
