Bristol City Women have completed the signing of Emma Bissell after her departure from Charlton Athletic.
She previously made 18 appearances for the club during the 2020–21 season and joins off the back of a promotion-winning campaign with Charlton.
The former England U-19 international helped the Florida State Seminoles win the 2021 NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship and later played over 30 times for Everton.
Bissell told bristolcitywomenfc.com: “I’m super excited to be here, it’s a club with massive ambition and you can really see the direction they’re wanting to push so to be a part of that makes me really excited for the season ahead.”
Head Coach Charlotte Healy added: “We’re delighted to welcome Emma to Bristol City. She brings a wealth of experience, having played at the highest level in the WSL with Everton, and arrives off the back of a successful season with Charlton where she played an important role in their promotion.
“Emma is an excellent player who has consistently shown she can make an impact in the final third. Her quality, experience and winning mentality will add real competition to our squad.”
