Bristol City Women have signed Australian defender Alexia Apostolakis after a two-year stint with Melbourne City.
She started her senior career with the Western Sydney Wanderers and became their youngest ever goalscorer at just 15 years and 279 days old.
Earning her first call-up to the Matildas in 2025, she went on to make her senior debut against Panama.
Apostolakis told bristolcitywomenfc.com: “It feels pretty surreal to be here. I got here a few days ago, and I’ve just been taking in the environment.
“I’ve already met quite a few people, and I just feel so welcomed, so I’m really excited to get going.”
Head Coach Charlotte Healy added: “We’re absolutely delighted that Alexia has chosen to join us. For a young player to move from the other side of the world to become a Bristol City player shows incredible commitment, so we’re thrilled to have her here.“
“She is someone who will bring a fantastic energy to the group; she’s young and hungry to succeed, which is exactly what we want in the squad.”
