Goalkeeper Melina Loeck has signed a new contract with Brighton & Hove Albion and will join Swedish club Hammarby on loan until 1 January 2026.

Albion head coach Dario Vidosic said: “Melina had consistent match exposure in the second half of last season. She stepped up to the challenge in the WSL and played a key role in our record finish and we’re delighted that she is extending her stay with us.

“This loan with Hammarby will provide her the opportunity for regular game time in a competitive environment. We will monitor her progress and wish her all the best for her time in Sweden.”

The 25-year-old has made 16 appearances in all competitions for Albion since joining in January 2024.
