Brighton Women beat West Ham 3-0 to leapfrog them in the Barclays WSL table as they jumped four places to eighth.
Brighton took the lead just before the hour mark with Maisie Symonds’ first WSL goal in almost five years.
It was a special one as she connected with a defensive header that dropped for her 25 yards out, and she lashed it into the top corner of Constance Picaud’s net.
The lead was doubled after the hour mark as a deflected cross from Marisa Olislagers led to a far-post tap-in for Fran Kirby.
Within a couple of minutes, the points were made safe with Emilie Joramo playing in Kiko Seike to clip the ball over the outrushing keeper.
While the Seagulls could celebrate a second win of the WSL campaign in front of a crowd of 4,373, the measure of the Hammers’ defeat saw them drop two places to twelfth on goal difference.
