Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Spanish U-19 international striker Carla Camacho, ending her five-year spell with Real Madrid.

She won the Golden Boot at the 2022 UEFA Women’s U-17 Championship, was part of the squad that lifted the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup the same year, and also went on to lift the WEURO U-19 trophy.

Head coach Dario Vidosic told brightonandhovealbion.com: “We’re pleased to have Carla with us. She has a good pedigree at Real Madrid and is looking forward to experiencing a new challenge in the WSL.

“She will need time to settle in but we’re looking forward to watching her progress and develop with us.”
