Birmingham City Women have signed American defender Michaela Kovacs until the end of the season.
Across her professional career, Kovacs has made 124 senior league appearances, scoring 15 goals, with stints at Boavista in Portugal, Morön BK and KIF Örebro in Sweden, and most recently with Norwegian champions Vålerenga.
At Örebro, she distinguished herself as a standout performer in the Damallsvenskan, while her tenure at Vålerenga saw her consistently compete at the top level of the Toppserien and gain Champions League experience.
Kovacs told bcfc.com: “I’m very excited to get started. It’s been a really warm welcome from the minute I got off the plane to meeting everyone here. It’s been fantastic so far.
“The ambition here is clear, and I want to be part of pushing Birmingham City back to where it belongs.”
