London City Lionesses have appointed Becky Langley as Assistant Coach, following her six-year spell as Newcastle United boss.

She oversaw back-to-back promotions with the Magpies and guided the club to a fifth-place finish in their debut WSL 2 campaign.

Langley told londoncitylionesses.com: “I’m really excited to be here at London City, to be in the Women’s Super League is something I’m enthusiastic and excited about.

“I’m delighted to be here and can’t wait to get going. I think the project has no ceiling here, having an owner who is so ambitious for success at London City and in women’s football is really exciting.
