Bayern Munich came from behind to beat Man Utd Women 2-1 on the night and 5-3 on aggregate in the UWCL quarter-finals, in front of a 25,000 crowd at the Allianz Arena.
Manchester United got back on level terms on aggregate after 10 minutes, as Bayern made a mess of dealing with Jade Riviere’s ball in behind and it fell for Melvine Malard to slot into an empty net.
Ena Mahmutovic scooped a Malard shot around the post, and Jess Park’s cross clipped the crossbar.
Bayern were dominant after the restart, and Pernille Harder was denied by Phallon Tullis-Joyce.
With 10 minutes of the 90 left, Bayern forced an equaliser on the right, as Glódís Viggósdóttir met Carolin Simon’s corner and it couldn’t be cleared off the line.
The hosts soon went 2-1 up from yet another corner, which actually fell for Linda Dallmann to slam into the roof of the net.
