Aston Villa Women have signed Kamilla Melgård from Madrid CFF, following her rise as one of Norway’s most promising young talents.
A current Norway Under-23 international, Melgård enjoyed an impressive debut season in Spain, contributing four goals and seven assists, having started her senior career with Lyn in the Toppserien at just 15.
Melgård told avfc.co.uk: “I’m really excited. It feels like a really good opportunity, and I feel like there are really good facilities here to grow, focus on football and continue developing as a player.”
Marisa Ewers, Director of Women’s Football, added: “Kamilla is an exciting young player with huge potential and we’re delighted to welcome her to Aston Villa. She has already shown her quality in Norway and Spain, and we believe she has all the attributes to continue developing here.”
