Aston Villa Women were 3-0 winners over Barclays WSL basement side Liverpool helped by two goals from Rachel Daly.

Liverpool had a disastrous start as a slip and defensive mix-up combined to give Rachel Daly the chance to score from just outside the box in the opening minute.

The lead was doubled before the half-hour mark when Kirsty Hanson turned home a cross from Chasity Grant past goalkeeper Faye Kirby.

Daly doubled her tally in the latter stages, getting to the ball first after Kirby parried a shot from Ebony Salmon.

Villa’s victory moved them within one point of Brighton in seventh, while Liverpool’s first 10 games have come and gone without a win.
