Arsenal Women and Chelsea Women face a noon Barclays WSL showdown at Emirates Stadium on Saturday 8 November.

The Gunners head into the match in fifth place in the Barclays Women’s Super League, trailing the unbeaten Blues by five points. Anything less than a win for the leaders would give Manchester United the chance to go top with their home game against draw specialists Aston Villa. Marc Skinner’s side should have Leah Galton back after missing the last game through illness.

London City and Tottenham, currently sixth and fourth respectively, go head-to-head on Sunday. Manchester City take their six-game winning run to Everton, who are without a victory for a similar spell. Elise Steveik will be out for the Toffees with a ‘quite severe’ hamstring injury, but Kare Holmgaard ad Katja Snoeijs are back in contention.

Both Liverpool and West Ham continue to search for their first points, doing so this weekend with home games, as the Reds entertain Brighton while the Hammers – who should have Seraina Piubel back – welcome Leicester. Liverpool’s Mia Enderby has resumed training following further assessments, after she was stretchered off last week.

Unbeaten Barclays WSL 2 leaders Charlton are visited by Southampton in fifth, while fourth play second with Nottingham Forest taking on Birmingham, but not until Monday.

Bristol City are third and home to basement side Ipswich, Durham have a derby with Newcastle whom they trail by just two points.

Crystal Palace are one point behind visitors Sheffield United, while Sunderland are three points ahead of long-distance travellers Portsmouth.
