A double-page photograph of England’s Under-20 side celebrating a goal in France, captioned with nothing but a hashtag and the tournament and credited to PA Images. The magazine had previewed the competition across seven pages of its previous issue, with Mo Marley explaining that England had qualified through the back door and spent a year addressing it; by the time this one went to press they had reached the semi-finals, which the editor’s letter describes as tipping the magazine over the edge with anticipation for the senior World Cup a year later. No player is named on the spread, the caption simply celebrating more goal joy for the Young Lionesses.
