Yorkshire Dale (Hannah Dale interview)

Hannah Dale has been at Liverpool since the Under-14s and had cameo roles in two title-winning seasons, but a long-term loan to Sheffield FC, now extended to May 2018, was the cutting of the apron strings she wanted. The change from full-time to three evening sessions a week took less adjusting to than expected, though the days are long: up at five for a warehouse shift, home at eleven, with a personal training diploma in between. Asked whether the WSL restructuring has flattened the mood by removing promotion from her division, she says the squad is concentrating on improving on ninth in the Spring Series. Fara Williams, whom she idolised and later played alongside at Liverpool, taught her more in training than in any match.
