WSL Winter Jet-Set: Where the Players Went

A boxed list records where fifteen WSL players spent the winter break before Christmas 2016, compiled, the magazine admits, by an unscientific process of occasionally noticing tweets. Izzy Christiansen went to the Philippines, Gemma Bonner to Australia, Lois Roche to Florida, and Eniola Aluko, Laura Coombs, Niamh Fahey and Victoria Williams to Bali. Jordan Nobbs and Leah Williamson went to the Caribbean, Jodie Taylor to New Zealand, Jill Scott to New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, Karen Carney to Mexico, Siobhan Chamberlain to St Lucia, Beth England to Cuba and Sari van Veenendaal to Aruba, while the Girls on the Ball honeymooned in Costa Rica and the USA. Billed as totally pointless but mildly interesting, the list ends by asking readers where they would go, and shares its page with Tony Leighton’s interview with Reading’s Kylie Davies.
