She Kicks’ guide to three of the German cities hosting the 2011 World Cup, aimed at readers planning to follow England. Frankfurt, which stages two group games, a semi-final and the final on 17 July, is presented as a city of contrasts, with the Romerberg, the cathedral, St Paul’s Church, the Goethe House and the Main Tower to see, apple wine pubs and green sauce with potatoes and eggs to try, and a note that Birgit Prinz of 1. FFC Frankfurt has been FIFA World Player of the Year three times. Dresden, where England meet New Zealand on 1 July, is covered for its Frauenkirche, Altstadt and state art collections, and is twinned with Coventry. Augsburg, hosting England against Japan on 5 July, is billed as the Renaissance City, with the Fuggerei and the Augsburger Puppenkiste. Each city gets hotels, hostels, bars, restaurants, internet cafes and local women’s teams.
