Women’s Football Pyramid 2020/21: Northern Ireland

The Northern Irish section of the magazine’s four-nation reference guide to the women’s league pyramid at the start of the 2020-21 season, and the page that carries the compilation’s explanation: the guide exists so that readers looking at a cup draw can work out what level the teams involved actually play at. The Northern Ireland Premiership sits at tier one with Cliftonville, Crusaders, Derry City, Glentoran, Linfield and Sion Swifts. Below it run the NIWFA sections, 1A at tier two and the 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B sections at tiers three and four, taking in around forty-five clubs from Ballymena United and Comber Rec down to Antrim Rovers and the reserve sides. As with the other three nations, the lists are stated accurate as at 21 September 2020.
