Elsewhere holders Wolfsburg beat Parnu 27-0 over two legs and Tyreso edged out Paris Saint-Germain. Arsenal’s 3-0 home win over Glasgow in the Battle of Britain saw them through despite losing the return 3-2, while Birmingham won 2-0 in Russia and then beat Zorky 5-2 at St Andrew’s. The quarter-final draw then paired the two English clubs.
