Winter Women’s Pyramid of Football 2013/2014

A two-page diagram of the winter women’s football pyramid for 2013-14, set out because the vast majority of the game is still played in the colder months while the two divisions of the elite FA WSL operate as stand-alone summer leagues. Five steps are shown. Step 1 is the FA Women’s Premier League Northern and Southern Divisions, each of eleven clubs; Step 2 the four Combinations; Step 3 the regional leagues; Step 4 their divisional sections; and Step 5 the county leagues, listed by county with the number of member clubs in each division. Promotion and relegation rules are explained: the bottom two in each division at Steps 1 and 2 go down, replaced by the winners of each league below, with second or third placed sides able to take a declined promotion.
