Wilson Wants More (Sarah Wilson Player Interview)

Durham’s captain refuses to trade on a season that surprised everyone. Last year, she says, does not mean anything now: other clubs in the division are signing heavily and Durham have to step up in turn, which is what pre-season has been about. A couple of good friendlies have brought goals and some nice football, and she wants a competitive game to see how it all pans out. Zoe Ness has returned to her old club to strengthen the front line and scored twice in the FA Cup third-round win over Keynsham Town, while Grace McCatty is working back to fitness and brings experience the squad has lacked. Durham go into the Series with nine cup finals to play. Record attendances last year, she says, were no coincidence.
