Where Are They Now? — Lou Waller (now Newstead)

A catch-up with Lou Waller, now Newstead, who won more than 30 England caps including the 1995 World Cup and made over 400 appearances for Millwall Lionesses, whom she also served as coach, development officer, secretary and chairperson. She is now married with two young sons, Louis-David and Harry, and works part-time for the Millwall Community Scheme as education and training manager. She says she misses training and the banter with team-mates more than playing, but not pre-season running or cramped minibus journeys stuck in traffic. She is completing her FA youth module three, coaches and manages Fisher FC under-7 boys, and is a Level 1 tutor for the FA.
