Wendie Renard, Lyon and France (poster)

A full-page poster of Wendie Renard, taken as she celebrates with the UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy and a winner’s medal, with a factfile running down the side. Born in Schoelcher on Martinique in 1990, she had by then won fourteen French league titles with Lyon, nine French cups and seven Champions Leagues, and had 121 caps and 24 goals for France, along with two Cyprus Cups and a SheBelieves Cup. She had also just been named the inaugural UEFA Women’s Champions League Defender of the Season, an award reported in the same issue’s news pages, and had made the top ten for UEFA Women’s Player of the Year a record seven times. The poster carries the magazine’s Little Kicks roundel, which marks it as one aimed squarely at younger readers.
