Welcome To The Revolution

EA Sports FC 25 Line Producer Andreas Wilsdorf discusses the landmark decision to open the game’s Career Mode to women’s football for the first time, following the format’s 2015 series debut. He explains how acquiring enough league licences – eventually covering the Barclays WSL, NWSL, and France, Germany and Spain’s top divisions – determined the timing, and how former professional players including Bella Linden, Simone Laudehr, Nicole Baxter and Džuljeta Tamsone helped shape authentic transfer budgets and youth-academy progression. Wilsdorf also covers the challenges of player-likeness scanning, the process behind selecting ICONs and Heroes such as Lotta Schelin and Fara Williams, and the growing attention paid to signature goal celebrations and player ratings, including reaction from disgruntled players themselves.
