We Kick with Liverpool Girls’ Centre of Excellence U11s

The We Kick slot visits Liverpool’s Under-11 girls’ Centre of Excellence seven-a-side team. They train three times a week, playing futsal on Mondays and training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Saturday matches against other Centres of Excellence at Edge Hill University since there is no league at that age group. The players attend every Liverpool Ladies home game and often lead the team out as mascots, and their favourite players are Fara Williams, who once coached them, and current captain Gemma Bonner. Their coach Victoria Jepson, part way through a UEFA A Licence and manager of the development squad, was named FA Female Development Coach of the Year for 2015 and met Jurgen Klopp at Melwood to discuss it.
