Watch Out For: Robyn McCafferty (Spartans)

A ‘Watch out for’ box inside the 2019 SWPL season launch, tipping Spartans and Scotland Under-17 defender Robyn McCafferty as one to follow, and running beside the Quick Kicks Q&A with Glasgow City’s Lidija Kulis. The recommendation comes from her Spartans team-mate Rachel Harrison, who says McCafferty has come from a good academy set-up at Hibernian straight into the first team, and describes her as strong and confident, a defender who wants to get on the ball and who has fitted into the side well with a lot still to offer. It is one of two short named boxes inside the five-page launch feature, the other giving Stirling University’s Hannah Fulton’s matchday superstition, and it sits beneath Kulis’s account of joining Glasgow City from Turbine Potsdam and facing England in World Cup qualifying.
