Wales Qualification Poster
She Kicks, issue 88, February 2025 pp.32–33
A celebratory team poster marking Wales’s qualification for UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, their first appearance at a major tournament. The image captures players including Jess Fishlock, Gemma Evans, Rachel Rowe, Angharad James and Hayley Ladd in the delight of the moment, plus the injured Sophie Ingle pulled away from her media duties to join the celebrations pitchside in Dublin. A poster-format keepsake of a genuinely historic achievement for Welsh women’s football, following decades in which qualification for a first tournament proved agonisingly elusive, and a companion piece to this issue’s match report on the play-off victory over the Republic of Ireland that sealed Cymru’s place at the finals in Switzerland this summer.
