View From The Stands: Millwall Lionesses

Two Millwall supporters. Dion Farnes has championed the Lionesses’ underdog fighting spirit for years and missed only one game in 2016; Harry Cooper was brought up on Millwall by his father and came to the women’s side later. Their memory of the season is the Thursday before Easter at Oxford, when traffic and torrential rain left the squad stranded and officials warned Millwall would start with the seven players present if the bus did not arrive by half past eight; it made it with minutes to spare, kick-off came near nine, and Millwall won 5-3. Ashlee Hincks and Megan Wynne take their player of the year votes. Both look forward to the Bees derby, and both weigh the winter switch carefully.
