View From The Stands: London Bees

Sylvain Jamet follows the Bees for their locality, the approachability of players and staff, and the number of former Arsenal players in the squad. His match of the season is the penalty-shootout Continental Cup win over Chelsea, which he credits to Dave Edmondson rebuilding the side around a classical 4-3-3, signing in key positions and removing a mentality in which heads dropped the moment a goal went in; he thinks the Bees should have won inside ninety minutes. Rebecca Anderson is his favourite, a disciplined defensive midfielder with clean distribution, though he nods to the #GoddardforEngland campaign. He rates The Hive among the best grounds in the WSL, criticises the FA’s six years of fixture lists, and expects the winter switch to cut attendances.
