View From The Field: Murray’s Matters (Joelle Murray)

She Kicks, issue 52, March 2019 p.20

Hibernian captain and Scotland internationalist Joelle Murray reports on a busy start to 2019 after an injury-hit 2018. Her domestic season ended in November with a Scottish Cup final win over SWPL 2 side Motherwell, a third successive Scottish Cup for Hibs, and while team-mates took a break she went straight into pre-pre-season training with one eye on the first Scotland camp of the year. Selected for La Manga on the back of a handful of club sessions and forty-five minutes of football, she found the trip valuable despite defeats to Norway and Iceland, with twenty players given game time. A Valencia warm-weather camp with Hibernian followed, then a drawn SWPL opener with Spartans, a win over Celtic, and a flight to the Algarve with Scotland.
