View From The Field: Murray’s Matters (Joelle Murray Column)

Hibernian’s club captain writes from the first SWPL season to be split into a top and bottom six, with Hibs squeezing into the top half in fifth alongside Glasgow City, Rangers, Celtic, Hearts and Partick Thistle. Joelle Murray is frank that an inconsistent season has been frustrating given the squad’s quality, and sees ten competitive games as a chance to right some wrongs. Sky Sports have taken five SWPL games live, the first deal of its kind in Scotland, and Hibs featured in the opener, a League Cup final lost 2-0 to Rangers. She describes a supporters’ bus, a singing section and a Hibs 25 celebration at Easter Road. The column closes with a tribute to chairman Ron Gordon, who died of cancer, and who turned words into action.
