View From The Field: Kerys Kicks (Kerys Harrop)
She Kicks, issue 52, March 2019 p.14
Birmingham City captain Kerys Harrop, who made her 175th appearance for the club at the end of January, writes on a turbulent couple of months at Blues. Manager Marc Skinner has left for the Orlando Pride, a move she is pleased for him about while admitting the squad were gutted; she recalls walking out beside him as captain at the 2016 Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley as her fondest memory of his tenure. Spanish coach Marta Tejedor, with experience of the Chile and Peru national teams, has replaced him, and Harrop is candid that a period of readjustment is hard for everyone. Birmingham have gone out of the Women’s FA Cup, leaving the chase for a Champions League place as the focus, and she congratulates team-mates Ellen White and Lucy Staniforth on their SheBelieves Cup call-ups.
