View From The Field: Kerys Kicks (Kerys Harrop Column)

Writing from the wrong end of the table, Tottenham’s Kerys Harrop takes stock of a season nobody at the club expected. Fifth last time out, Spurs are now fighting relegation, and while she is careful to say injuries are not an excuse, she notes that key players have been missing for long stretches and welcomes Kit Graham back from an ACL injury with Ria Percival close behind. She is generous about Rehanne Skinner, relieved of her duties that week, crediting her with the club’s highest league finish and a first Continental Cup semi-final. Vicky Jepson steadied the ship and stayed up until the early hours making a highlights video; the next night a Beth England strike beat Leicester. Harrop, the fourth-highest WSL appearance maker, hopes to be at Wembley in April.
