View From The Field: Kerys Kicks (Kerys Harrop column)

The Tottenham defender’s regular column, written during an April international break with the season’s shape still undecided. Harrop is genuinely awed by the numbers: 91,500 at Camp Nou for Barcelona against Real Madrid, the same stadium sold out again for the Wolfsburg semi-final, the European Championship final at Wembley already gone. She watched the Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich quarter-final for the singing as much as the football, and says playing in front of a full house cheering throughout is what dreams are made of. On her own side she is measured – Spurs still have third place in their sights but need results elsewhere – and closes on an unpredictable league that will be fought to the final game. She opens by admitting to playing Monopoly Deal with flatmate Rachel Williams.
