View From the Field: Joelle Murray

Hibernian captain and club legend Joelle Murray gives her first-person view of a season of change at Easter Road, following a summer overhaul under new manager Grant Scott that saw roughly ten players depart and a fresh recruitment drive bring in the likes of Tegan Bowie and Abbie Ferguson from Celtic alongside experienced additions Katie Fraine and Naomi Powell. Murray discusses settling two American signings, Fraine and Jorian Baucom, into a dressing room adjusting to broad Scottish accents, the flat-share bonding of Hibernian’s youngest players, and a Halloween party featuring a memorable Mrs Brown’s Boys costume. She also outlines the club’s player-education programme and Christmas traditions, from a chaplain’s dinner to a Secret Santa, while targeting an improved league finish and a longer cup run.
