UEFA Women’s Champions League Winners 2020/21, Barcelona (poster)

A full-page poster of Barcelona celebrating the 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League, the squad lined up in a curve beneath the word WINNERS with the club crest at either end and confetti still falling. It carries no player names, only the competition wordmark and the line marking the final in Gothenburg. The match behind it was played at Gamla Ullevi on 16 May 2021, where Barcelona beat Chelsea 4-0 to become the first Spanish club to win the women’s competition and to deny an English club the trophy. She Kicks returns to the same afternoon twice more in this issue, in the editor’s letter and in the puzzle page’s spot-the-difference, which is built from another photograph of the same celebration.
