Two Dreams Are Better Than One (Siobhan Wilson Interview)

The Birmingham City left-back arrived from Crystal Palace in July and made her Jamaica debut in September, which is why the season carried two ambitions at once: promotion to the WSL for the first time, and a place at a World Cup alongside France and Brazil. Wilson is warm about the Birmingham dressing room, naming Lucy Quinn as the class clown, and credits Darren Carter with telling her simply to bring her own game. Having played college soccer in the United States and club football in Spain and Italy, she describes Spanish and Italian football as tactical and American football as physical, and reckons she has taken something from both. Her grandparents were Jamaican, and playing for the Reggae Girlz is something she holds very personally.
