They Kick: Liverpool Ladies fan (@LFCladiesfans)

The They Kick slot speaks to one of the reigning champions’ biggest fans on the eve of a new FA WSL season. Heather started the @LFCladiesfans account a year earlier hoping to find like-minded Liverpool supporters to travel with and to promote Liverpool Ladies among the club’s huge network of followers on Twitter, and now writes match previews and reports on her blog and supplies the supporters’ website This Is Anfield with monthly updates on the women’s team. She credits Matt Beard and the staff for taking a side that finished bottom two years running to the title, praises the squad’s never-say-die spirit in two 4-3 wins the previous August, and describes planning a ten-hour round trip to Chelsea. Asked who deserves her She Kicks award, she names Natasha Dowie and her 19 goals, with mentions for Lucy Bronze and Nicole Rolser.
