Her Goal, issue 2, December 2025 pp.46–47
A supporters’ Q&A with Duncan Price, who founded Brighton & Hove Albion’s SheGulls after EURO 2022, with Georgia Stanway’s extra-time screamer against Spain, Ella Toone’s equaliser and the 8-0 win over Norway among the moments that hooked him and his family. Launched in August 2023 when he found no supporters’ club, podcast or fansite existed, SheGulls runs meet-ups, fundraising, match reports, social media, a podcast and a Patreon, with inclusivity the aim. Price picks out an ABBA-tune chant for Rachel McLauchlan, an away trip to Spurs remembered chiefly for nesting pigeons, and captain Maisie Symonds as his favourite player. From the opposition he would take Alessia Russo, briefly a Brighton player in 2017.
