They Kick: Bristol City Women FC Supporters Club

An instalment of They Kick, the magazine’s recurring feature on the supporters’ groups and super fans of the women’s game, this time with the Bristol City Women FC Supporters Club. Founder Rich Paish introduces the group: Shahan Miah designed the logo, David Cann and his father Ian made the first flag and David starts many of the songs and chants, ‘gateman’ Martin Radford is a regular at Lionesses away games and has missed only a handful of Vixens matches since 2013, DM Withers and Nat present the Oxtoby Revolution podcast, and Justine Vanwynsberghe travels over from Belgium. They nominate Jas Mathews and Sophie Baggaley as the players who kick, would kick Phil Neville for not selecting Baggaley for England, and regret missing the 2014 Champions League win over Barcelona. They object to the Vixens name being dropped for the Robins.
