The View From The Booth (Scott Booth interview)

Scott Booth, who replaced Eddie Wolecki Black in July 2015 and immediately won a league and cup double, delivered an unprecedented tenth successive SWPL title in 2016 but lost two cup finals to the same Hibernian side, one in the last minute and one on penalties. He calls it rash to read those defeats as more than a last-minute loss and a shootout. On Glasgow City’s Champions League exit to Eskilstuna United he found the Swedes a unique proposition with a three-five-two shape unseen in Scotland, physical presence and a crazy amount of pace, and argues that playing week to week in a very strong league makes the biggest difference. He welcomes a Euro 2017 chance for his three centurions.
