The She Kicks Locker Room: The Before & After with Sarah Wilson

MK Dons Wildcats’ Sarah Wilson describes a matchday she keeps as identical as possible because she is so superstitious: always beans on toast and two coffees for the caffeine fix. After the warm-up she takes her boots off and puts them back on, left one first, a ritual she has to do. The squad has a Sunday morning tradition of posting silly football pictures and saved video clips of each other, mostly of Becky Salicki. She prepares by making sure she is physically ready, using imagery rather than overthinking the opposition. Her family never miss a home game and are her lucky charm. She is a sore loser but insists poor results have to be left behind.
